Lieutenant Colonel Alirudimi was born on 21 June 1974. He joined the Royal Brunei Armed Forces in May 2000. The following year, he attended commissioning course at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS), United Kingdom. Upon completion of the course, he was commissioned to Lieutenant in May 2002.
Lieutenant Colonel Alirudimi first appointment was as a Platoon Commander at the Second Battalion RBLF. Later he became Troop Commander of the Combat Engineer Squadron (CES), Support Battalion RBLF. In 2006, he was part of Brunei Darussalam’s International Monitoring Team to Mindanao, Republic of Philippines. After this operational tour, he became Officer Commanding of a Rifle Company at the Third Battalion, RBLF in Lumut.
In July 2010, Lieutenant Colonel Alirudimi was posted to a newly established Centre of Science and Technology, Research and Development (CSTRAD), Ministry of Defence as Head of Land Projects. Later he became the Second in Command of the Support Battalion, RBLF. In August 2017, he assumed his current post.
Throughout his career, he attended various courses. Some of the military courses he attended were Royal Engineers Troop Commander’s and the International Search Advisor Course in the UK,Company Commanders Tactic Course in PULADA, Malaysia as well as the local Command and Staff Course (CSC). He also attended non- military courses such as project and contract management courses. Lt Col Alirudimi was involved in various engineering, humanitarian and capability projects.
Lieutenant Colonel Alirudimi is married to Hjh Raidahwati Hj Abd Rahman and blessed with two sons and a daughter.
