Lieutenant Colonel Amilin bin Hj Mohamad Gani/Haji Junit was born on 28 May 1972 and began to serve with the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) on 30 August 1999. He undergone his Officer Cadet Training at the Officer Cadet School, Republic of Singapore and after completion in 2000, Lieutenant Colonel Amilin was commissioned to the rank of Lieutenant on 7 April 2001. He then held the post as a Platoon Commander for 'B' Company 3Bn, Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF). From 2003 to 2011.
Lieutenant Colonel Amilin has held various appointments within the Logistics Depot RBLF. Among the appointments were OIC Cell A, OIC Cell C and OIC Store Sub Depot. He acted as the OIC Store Sub Depot until 20 February 2011, after he was posted as SO2 G4 Royal Brunei Land Force Headquarters. He attended the Command and Staff Course (CSC) at the Defence Academy, RBAF in Negara Brunei Darussalam in 2012 before being assigned as the Second in Command at the Logistics Depot on 03 December 2012. On 16 January 2015 he was appointed as the Commanding Officer of Logistic Depot. He is the 10th Commanding Officer of the Logistic Depot Headquarters. On 23 July 2018 he was appointed as Deputy Commandant Combat Service Support.
Throughout his service, Lieutenant Colonel Amilin has had the opportunity of attending various courses both locally and abroad. Among the courses were, Platoon Commander Course, Brunei (2001), Cataloguing Course, Malaysian Armed Forces Cataloguing Authority (2005), The International Logistics Course, in the UK (2005), Intermediate Logistics Course, Australia (2009), Advanced Logistics Course (2011) and Warehouse Efficiency and Productivity Excellence Course (2014) in Republic of Singapore.
Lieutenant Colonel Amilin is married to Hajah Nor Rafizah binti Haji Abdullah and blessed with three children, one son and two daughters.
