PUSDIKIF CAMP, BANDUNG, Wednesday, 20 November 2019 – The opening ceremony of 29th ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet (AARM) took place at the Shooting Range, Pusdikif Camp, Bandung.

The ceremony was officiated by Lieutenant General Tatang Sulaiman, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army. Colonel Azman bin Haji Bangkol, the Chief of Staff of the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) represented the Royal Brunei Land Force at the ceremony.

Upon arrival, the guest of honour received an honourary salute led by Colonel Infantry Hendratno, Assistant Operation Division 1, Commando Strategy Land Force as the Parade Commander. The event was then followed with a flag-raising ceremony, the opening speech by the guest of honour, an introductory meet and greet with the representative of participating countries and concluded with a band performance and demonstration.

The Chief of Staff of the RBLF also participated in the ASEAN Pistol Novelty Shoot match which was conducted as part of the opening ceremony. The Chief of Staff of the RBLF also took the opportunity to meet with the RBLF Shooting Contingent where he advised the shooters to maintain high discipline and morale in order to achieve their very best in all the competition.

A total of 33 RBLF personnel are currently participating in the 29th AARM. The theme for this year is "Together We Can". This year showcased a new format where 10 ASEAN countries are combined and create four teams: Team Alligator, Team Bear, Team Cheetah and Team Dragon. The competition will run from 14 November until 27 November 2019. Royal Brunei Land Force will host the 30th AARM in 2020.

The 29th AARM will continue with Rifle Match 2 and Pistol Men Match 3 on 21^st  November 2019.

UPACARA PEMBUKAAN RASMI KEJOHANAN MENEMBAK TENTERA DARAT ASEAN KALI KE-29 (29th AARM)

KEM PUSDIKIF, BANDUNG, Rabu 20 November 2019 – Upacara pembukaan Kejohanan Menembak Tentera Darat ASEAN Ke-29 telahpun diadakan di Lapang Sasar, Kem Pusdikif, Bandung.

Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat ialah Leftenan Jenderal TNI Tatang Sulaiman, Wakil Kepala Staf Angkatan Darat (WAKASAD). Yang Mulia Kolonel Azman bin Haji Bangkol, Ketua Staf Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) turut hadir di upacara tersebut selaku wakil TDDB.

Sejurus tiba, Tetamu Kehormat disambut dengan tabik hormat yang diketuai oleh Kolonel Hendratno, Penolong Operasi Division 1 Kommando Strategi Angkatan Darat (KOSTRAD), selaku Ketua Perbarisan. Pembukaan rasmi di teruskan dengan menaikkan bendera Kejohanan AARM, ucapan pembukaan daripada tetamu kehormat, dan disudahi dengan persembahan Gendering Suling Canka Lokananta serta demonstrasi Cakra.

Ketua Staf TDDB juga turut serta dalam Perlawanan Menembak Pistol Novelti yang juga diadakan sempena upacara pembukaan AARM. Beliau juga berpeluang untuk berjumpa dengan kontinjen penembak TDDB. Beliau menasihati semua penembak-penembak untuk mengekalkan disiplin serta moral yang tinggi dan membuat yang terbaik dalam perlawanan itu nanti.

Seramai 33 anggota daripada TDDB mengikuti kejohanan menembak Tentera Darat ASEAN kali ke-29. Tema AARM 29 pada tahun ini adalah "Together We Can". Format perlawanan pada tahun ini berbeza dengan tahun yang sebelumnya iaitu 10 buah Negara ASEAN digabung untuk menjadikan empat kumpulan iaitu Kumpulan Alligator, Kumpulan Bear, Kumpulan Cheetah dan Kumpulan Dragon. Kejohanan tersebut berlangsung dari 14 November hingga 27 November 2019. TDDB akan menghoskan Kejohanan Menembak Tentera Darat ASEAN kali ke-30 pada tahun 2020.

Kejohanan menembak Tentera Darat ASEAN kali ke-29 akan membuka tirainya dengan perlawanan Rifle Match 2 and Pistol Men Match 3 pada 21 November 2019.
